Songwriter Sessions: Kadri Voorand

Liderway Entertainment’s Songwriter Sessions returns with Estonian jazz royalty Kadri Voorand, bringing her distinctive voice and storytelling to New York. Doors 7:30 | Concert 8PM This hybrid-format event series blends live performance with intimate conversation, offering audiences a rare look into the lesser-known behind-the-scenes stories of how songs are born, shaped, and carried into the world. Award-winning Estonian vocalist, pianist, and composer Kadri Voorand returns with her unique fusion of jazz, folk, and improvisational pop. Known for her electrifying stage presence and deeply emotional performances, Voorand has captivated audiences worldwide, from the EFG London Jazz Festival to Trondheim Jazzfest to Pori Jazz. Jazzwise: “Kadri Voorand is a people person. Whether playing piano, violin, or thumb piano, the audience were hanging on her every note, and when asked to join in, the audience sang as one.” London Jazz News: "This stirring together of jazz, folk and pop, with thoughtful arrangements from these distinctive musicians, takes you, for a while, off into another world." With a signature sound that fuses storytelling, vocal artistry, and innovative arrangements, her music moves seamlessly between heartfelt ballads, rhythmic folk influences, and spontaneous improvisation. Whether behind the piano, violin, or loop machine, Kadri’s performances are known to be deeply engaging and transformative, making this concert an unmissable experience.
